Woodlots are small businesses.

Woodlot licensees hire locally, acquire goods and services from local suppliers, and invest back into their communities. Woodlots are family owned and operated, with over 1,000 families in BC relying on them for all or part of their livelihood.

Woodlots are run by locals.

From the south end to Bold Point, Quadra Island woodlots are spread across the island. The licensees are your friends and family, shopping at the local Tru-Valu and sipping coffee at Aroma.

Woodlots create recreation opportunities.

With over 24.3km of trails winding through Quadra Island woodlots, residents can access remote wilderness places on our spectacular island home.

Woodlot holders have close ties to their neighbours and to the local communities within which they reside and manage their woodlots.
